Building Figures
Sixteen building perm-its were issued by the- Taupo Borough Council during May for work valued at £33,921. This included a shop and flat in Tuwharetoa Street for Messrs Murray Roberts Ltd costing £13,746. Issues were down cornpared with 1964 from April 1 when the figures were 59 and £88,309 and, this year, 26 and £45,648. No Tenders No tenders for constructing the terminal building at Taupo airport were received by closing time on June 24. The council is negotiating with contractors who took out plans to extend the closing date.
