Lectures On Lake

The department of university extension, Auckland, will provide a weekend school at Taupo-nui-a-Tia College entitled Biology of Our Lakes, to be held on July 24 and 25. Organiser of the course is Mr Colin Bell, university extension lecturer, Rotorua. The lecturer will be Dr G. Fish, officer-in-charge, Marine Department, Rotorua. The full weekend will be taken up with lectures on the water in the lakes; its movement aeration and chemistry. There will also be a study of the animals in the lake and the numbers and growth of resident fish. Enrolment for the course may be made at the Taupo Public Library.
