Soccer Side Wins Again
Taupo College's recentlyformed 1st XI soccer team showed its worth by beating Rotorua High School's 2nd XI 8-1 in a fast-moving game at the Taupo-nui-a-Tia College on Thursday. From the centre-forward position, College's P. Gittens scored six goais. B. Max also scored one goa! and assisted with two others. A. Radford scored one goal. At centre half, Taupo's T. Williams played particularly well, while S. Shaughnessy and M. Gabriels put on a superb performance as full backs. College will field two soccer teams in a seven-a-side tournament at Tokoroa in the near future.
