PEACE CUP ELIMINATION
GAME
This coming weekend will be an important one for Taupo Rugby when the visiting Waihi subUnion team will clash with Taupo senior representatives in a Peace Cup elimination match. Many local followers are pondering deeplv over Taupo's chances of pulling off a first-ever elimination victory, which will entitle them to a crack at the holders at a later date. The Taupo team for this , yital game could well be:— Fullback, G. Furlong: wingers, T. Albert, P. Hob dell; centre, T. Ruru; five
eighths, C. Williams, L. j Tamepo; half-back, K. Darlington; No. 8, A. Walker; . flankers, G. Blake, A. Thompson; locks. T. Nix- ' on, J. Tawera; props, K. Palmer, J. Wall; hooker, L. Draper. The backline readily picks itsel with a question-mark over the fullback position. G. Furlong, if available, but many strongly press the claims of P. Harrison. Speed and power are the main features of the three-quarter line with Hobdell, Ruru and Albert all displaying outstanding form this year. Forwards who may run close to selection are K. Hurae, C. Williams and R. Rhyder.
