Safety Rules For Batteries
When using a 12-volt booster battery to start a 6-volt car, observe the following rules to avoid damage or personal injury caused by sparks at car's battery (which may | be discharging explosive hydrogen fumes. (1) Connect battery cable to car's battery first, then connect cables to booster; (2) If contact is bad, disconnect cables at booster battery before shifting clips at car's battery; (3) Switch off all 6-volt accessoii.es in car and close doors before using booster; (4) After car has started, remove cables from booster battery first.
