County Should Acquire Land
Commissioner of Crown Lands has requested Taupo County Council to consider acquiring an area of land near Taupo borough for the disposal of septie tank sludge. The department told council it had received an application for a disposal site from one firm of septic tank cleaners and it anticipated more. Ten acres of land on Aerodrome Road, near the aerodrome, has been applied for and it was decided at a meeting of the council, on Tuesday, that the county engineer investigate the site.
