Taupo Jaycee To Carry Out Tourist Survey In Taupo
Taupo Jaycee will soon j carry out a tourist survey in j the town by supplying hotel j and motel proprietors with questionnaires designed to discover the tourist potential of this ai^ea. The questionnaire will ask for information on peak holiday periods in various areas, where visitors to Taupo come from, and the accommodation available in the respective establishments. Opinions of the proprietors will also be asked for concerning tourists attractions in the town. One of the main questions will be j "what do you feel are the j major tourist attractions | in your district?" ' Some of the question-
naires will be directed to other service organisations in Taupo so that informa- j tion can be gained on what schemes in the district are concerned with promotmg or encouraging tourism, and other relevant details. The finished questionnaires are expected to be retumed to Jaycee by June 13. From the information, Jaycees will compile a master form whic'h will be forwarded to the North Shore chapter of Jaycee, which is handling the project.
