Taupo Indoor Basketball Games

Tlie first Taupo Indoor Basketball Association game on Thursday was a non-competition match between Tauhara (W) and Jesters, which resulted in a win for Tauhara. College went down to the improving Demons team by 16 points. College will have to learn to slow their game before it will improve to a good standard. For Demons, D. Lovell and R. Darlington played well. Bears outclassed 60/8 in a game in which there were a lot of good intentions with very little result on the part of 60/8. For Bears, J. Ireland showed he was a master in guarding. The first game between Tauhara II. and Beatles was won by Tauhara, Beatles again defaulting. The game between Checkers and Eagles proved to be all that was expected, both putting everything into it from start to finish. Full marks must go to

the referees for the way in which they controlled this game. For Checkers, A. Culpan was the outstanding player with exeellent guarding. - Eagles' J. Tewano was again a tower of strength under the basket. Teachers and Hillbillies turned on a good game which was won by Teachers.
