Learners' Progress

Attendance at the learn-to-to-swim classes at the Taupo AC Baths is still good and an average of 45 children and six adults take to the water every Tuesday night. Children showing progress are the ones who attend regularly. Some have shown spasmodic enthusiasm then later dropped out of the group. Nine instructors and some of' the experienced swimmers are giving tuition to the classes. On some nights, when there is a large attendance, more teachers are needed and volunteers for this position would be appreciated. The lessons will continue until all swimmers are proficient and each member is able to swim a length of the baths.
