EROSION A THREAT TO TURANGI?
Serious erosion on the left-hand bank of the Tongariro River above the swing bridge threatened the Turangi township, a member claimed at Saturday's meeting of the Federation of Lake Taupo | angling, boating and shoot- ! ing clubs. The deputy controller of I wildlife, Department of In- ! ternal Affairs, Mr K. H. | Myers, said investigations I were at present being un- | dertaken into the matter.
