WOMEN'S MEETINGS
TONGARIRO CWI The monthly meeting of the Tongariro CWI was held on May 25 at the Tokaanu Maori District High School. Mrs B. Pearce presided over the meeting and welcomed all members. One new member, Mrs Calkin, was also welcomed. The guest speaker for the evening was Dr. H. R. Gibson, who gave a very interesting talk on various subjects of interest to members. At the conclusion of his talk he was given a small gift of appreciation. A little of the art of basket-weaving was demonstrated by Mrs M. Turner and was enjoyed by all present.
