Five small kittens nearly froze to death after an unknown Taupo person left them on a street in the town one bitterly cold night last week. ■ The discovery of the kittens was brought to the notice of the Taupo area inspector and president of the S P.C.A., Mr V. R. Hyde, who said he was ! shocked at the news and the callous behaviour shown by the owner of the animals.
