BODY FOUND IN RAPIDS

The body of Ben Maurice Bexter, a 48-year-old plumber, of Ashhurst, was recovered from the Waikato River by a police party yesterday. Mr Dexter was reported j missing over a week ago j and police found his carl abandoned at Huka Fallsj on the evening of Monday, j May 24. An extensive search of I the river and surrounding area failed to locate Mr Dexter. Yesterday, his body was seen in the Aratiatia Rapids when the water was drained off for power pi*oduction. Police and Ministry of Works employees had to cut a track th rough rough country to recover the body.
