No Trace Of Man In Waikato River

A search of the Waikato River between Huka Falls and Aratiatia yesterday failed to reveal aiiy trace of a missing Ashurst man. The missing man is Ben Maurice Dexter, aged 48 years, a plumber. Mr Dexter posted two letters to his home from Taupo, postmarked May 20, 1965. He was in possession of a Morris car which was found abandoned by | the police at Huka Falls just before dark on Monday last. : Personal items of clothing were found in the car, : together with a driver's licence. During the past two days, police have searched the river edges by boat _ and will continue again today. Mr Dexter is described as of solid build, dark complexion, black hair and a small moustache. He is 5ft j lOin. in hieght.
