Air pilots are warned Dy the Direc.tor of Operations and Technical Services, Department of Civil Aviation, of possible danger from an 11,000 volt transmission line being erected from the Opo tiki end of the Waioeka Gorge toward Gisborne for a distance of 20 miles. The line generally fol: lows the gorge, crossing the river and main road many times and at varying heights. Pole positions are located on ridges, with very long spans, one being nearly three-quarters of a mile in length.
