Two Big Jobs Under Way

Two of the biggest building projects under way in Taupo at present are the Catholic convent in Opepe Street and the extensions to the Taupo Maternity Hospital. The convent, a 4000 square feet building, is expected to be opened in August. To date the framing is nearly completed and the roof will be one of the next major parts of the job. The hospital extensions, costing £46,700, have reached the stage where the basements of both wings have been poured.
