RUGBY FOR NEXT WEEKEND

This Saturday normal competition club Rugby matches will take place as a pipe-opener to one of the season's main attractions, to be played on Sunday. It will be a Rugby-filled weekend. The "star" game, which should draw the season's biggest home crowd, will be between Hawke's Bay Maoris and Bay of Plenty Maoris. As there will be several representative and provincial players in the two teams, this should prove a thriller for spectators who know the fast open brand of Rugby these teams usually play. The curtain-raiser, another important game for the Taupo representative Rugby build-up, will be between Taupo Maoris and the "Rest." The "Rest's" team will be selected from the five senior teams in the local sub-Un-ion, after the Maori team has been selected. Schoolboy Rugby will start its 1965 season on Saturday, May 29, with a I grading day at the domain.
