TAUPO TEAM GOES DOWN TO TOKOROA IN GOLF CONTEST
The golf nmtch played last Saturday was between teams chosen to represent the president and captain. A very good contest resulted in eaeh side winning seven games, witli one all-square. A team from Taupo visited Tokoroa last wekend to play against teams representing Tokoroa and Putaruru. These teams consisted of 12 players from eaeh elub, four seniors, four intermediates and four juniors. Tokoroa was successful with an aggregate of 520 stableford points ; Putaruru scored 507 and Taupo 498. •Next year it is liopetl that Mangakino vvill also eompete and the match will be played at Putaruru. In the R.S.A. one-day tournament at Springfield, G. Barlow returned ihe best gross score for the morning rouiid.
