Box 40, Taupo TAUPO COUNTY ELECTION OF ADVISORY COMMITTEE MEMBERS FOR RANGITOTO AND TARAWERA RIDINGS N OMIN ATION S IN pursuance of Section 13 of the Taupo County Act 1954 nominations are called for members of the County Advisory Committee for Tarawera and Rangitoto Ridings. When nominations were called previously on June 21st, 1957, the number of nominations received were less than the number of vacancies on the committee. There is a vacancy for one member for Rangitoto Riding and, there are vacancies for two members for Tarawera Riding. The County Commissioner requires that nominations be made in writing on the prescribed form by two electors of the Riding who are qualified as electors under terms of the Local Elections and Polls Act 1953. The consent of the nominee must appear on the nomination form. The prescribed nomination forms are available at the County Office, 72 Lake Terrace Road, or P.O. Box 128, Taupo, and also at the Post Office, Te Haroto, and the Post Office, Te Rangiita. Nominations must be in the hands of the undersigned by 5 p.m. on 13th September, 1957. The actual ballots to decide the election of candidates for the two ridings will be carried out at Public Meetings to be convened later by the County Commissioner in each Riding. The dates, times and places of the Public Meeting in each Riding will be advertised later, but only those candidates correctly nominated by September 13th will be eligible for participation in the ballots.
