CLOSE CONTESTS AT INDOOR BOWLS
An enjoyable Indoor Bowling Club tournament was held last Monday evening when 10 rinks participated. Five games of five heads were played, and there were many ciosely contested matches. Teams were graded and drawn. Miss Gwen Mdsaac's rink notchect four wins, with It. Iiyder a close second with 31. These rinks comprlsed : I. Ilohertson (L), J Wai poi e (2), Mrs Ilarris (3), and Miss Mclsaac (s) : Mrs Kirk (L), Mri Huniphries (2), Mrs Mslsaac (3) and It. Ityder (s). F. Harding and It. Mclsaac each had three wins. Two rinks skipped by A. M. Tierney and W. Rewa will play in an invitation tournament at Upper Atiamuri 011 August 31, and it is hoped to arrange a yisit from the Mangakino Club for September 1.
