Two tons of seaweed arrived at Pinewood studios for scenes in the film, 'High Tide at Noon.' It remained on the lorry untouched for two days. Sceneshifters said it was the gardener's job to unload because the seaweed was alive. The gardener's replied that it was the job of the sceneshifters — because the seaweed was dead. Meanwhile the scenes were being held up, so that studio chiefs had a conference. They couldn't decide whether sea\Veed was alive or dead. So they telephoned scientists at the | Natural History Museum. The scientists said that in or out of the sea the seaweed was definitely alive. But the gardeners didn't worry.
