Sceneshifters said it was the gardener's job to unload because the seaweed was alive. The gardener's replied that it was the job of the sceneshifters — because the seaweed was dead. Meanwhile the scenes were being held up, so that studio chiefs had a conference. They couldn't decide whether sea\Veed was alive or dead. So they telephoned scientists at the | Natural History Museum. The scientists said that in or out of the sea the seaweed was definitely alive. But the gardeners didn't worry.
