Rotorua Contingent The social evening was made doublv pleasant with tlie presence of a contingent of nine from the Rotorua Yacht Club, headed by Dr J. II. Doyle, who b rough t with him a projector and an interesting seleetion of coloured slides he took during the regatta at Rotorua earlier in the year. Dr Doyle toki the 00 people who were present that he and his fellowmembers were willing to help the Taupo club in a variety of ways. "If j we ea n get rivalry between our two I clubs, so much tlie better,"' he said. • There was no flner sport (hau sailing, he said, and espeeially for teenagers, who found in sailing not only a bond of fellowship, but an outlet for their enefgies. i He mentioned tliat at the Faster regatta at Rotorua, where. he took the 4 * pietures sliown on the screen, there were no fewer tlian 300 visiting boats from various parts of the Xortli Isla nd. "Doirt have a lioteh-potch of boats of various types." Dr Doyle mentioned tliat oue of the most pleasing features of sailing was tlie family interest in it; it was lioticeable particularly at Rotorua, and he considered there was a lot to be said for it. After tliose present had passed a wa r m vote of thanks to Dr Doyle and liis fellow club-members from Rotorua, tliey had supper and enjoyed dancing to music of the Taupo Swing Group ( Messrs R. M.
