PRAISE FOR COUNTY COMMISSIONER
Comxdimentary references to the work of the County Cominissioner, Mr A. II. O'Keefe, were made last M011day at the first meeting of the new Taupo County Advisory Committee. Mr J. A. Asher said Mr O'Keefe had done an excellent job in the tw o years of his adininistration. The period had been difficult, and lie liad liad to overI come a number of obstacles to the proI motion of tlie county's progress. "I hope none of us will see the need for an elected councii without the chairman finding it necessary to be present at all times," he said. "Without him we would he like a ship wdt.bout a rudder." Mr P. A. Grace endorsed Mr Aslicr's remarks, and Mr E. S. Jones added : "The cqmmissioner Jias done a wonderful .job."
