WRONG LICENCE TO FISH THERE
It cost Hilton Gharles Perry, of Tirau, £2 and costs for fishing without a lieence at the southern end of the lake on April 2. The case was heard by Mr Yf. A. Harlow, S.M., in Taupo Court. Mr P. J. Burstali. for the Internal Afr'airs Department. said he was ranging at the time and saw Perry tisliing fi-om tlie mouth of a stream. He asked Perry for his lieence. and Perry produeed oue from tlie Auckland Acc'imatisation Societ y, which was not valid in that area. Perry explained that he was asked ! by a friend to go deer-.shooting and | tisliing to tlie wesf of Taupo. He went ! to Tv Awamutu, wliere his friend told | him that the venue of tlie projected j flshing trip was at tlie southern end of the lake.
