KINDERGARTEN'S BARN DANCE VERY POPULAR
Taupo Free Kindergarten lield a successful barn dance last Saturtiav evening in the woo.lshed 011 Mr J. Gilchrist's farm. The committ.ee wishes to thank Mr Gilchrist and the following whose donations of material and services contributed to the enjoyment of dancers. Tlie savoury supper of sausages and mashed potatoes was enjoyed by an appreeiative crowd. The potatoes were given by Mr G. Hickord ; the committee is grateful to the management of the Lake Hotel for the use of the hotel pbtatoipeeling machine. Thirty pounds of sausages each were given by Messrs Price, Tierney and E. T. Smith, who also supplied the greaseproof paper ready cut for serving the hot food. The conmiittee thanks the management and kitchen staff of International Coutractors' for cooking ihe sausages and potatoes and! loan of serving cau.ldrons; Mf Williams, wliose Rhythm Aces orchestra kept every one moving (he made a donation of his services as leader) ; Mr Ray IIow, who was ref sponsible for the elect r ic-ligh ti n g pl an t ' installed teniporarily. .
