Many people must have wonderec! about the work being clone 011 the lake foreshore at the foot of Kaimanawa Road and Rifie Range Road; it is the begimiing of the pomping-station and intake niain for the munieipal waterworks scheme. At present the rouncil is laying the fotindations of a breakwater, to protect the ha.se of the pumping-station from erosion. Acording to the town clerk, Mr K. G.
