BAND NOW HAS £321 TOWARDS INSTRUMENTS
Taupo Citizens SilVer Band appeal for funds to buy instruments has reached £321 11s, which the committee regards as a -clear iudicatioii that the public is wholehearted) in its support of the band. The final group of instruments from England is expected to arrive at Taupo this week. As soon as they are assembled, bandsmen, under the baton of the conducter, Mr W. Wilkinson, will attend the first practice at the school. The following contributions to the fund since the last issue of the Times, are acknowledged with thanks by the seeretary, Mr B. Reading:
