Hockey Club Formed
About a dozen hockey players held an enthusiastic meeting at Cato's Colour Centre on Monday evening, January 30, the Rev. H. Tangohau being elected chairman. A number apologies for absence were received. A resolution was carried forming the Taupo Hockey Club, and it appeared likely that two men's and two women's teams might be fielded in the coming season. Messrs Dudley Johnston and Trevor Cato were elected Club representatives on the Combined Sports Committee. A general meeting for the election of officers is to be called for Monday, February 20, at 8 p.m. at the Taupo School.
