Recent Burglaries

A house in Mere Road was visited by a burglar during the small hours of Sunday morning last. A basement bedroom was entered through an open outside door and a snm of money removed from the pockets of a pair of tronsers. A cardigan jacket was stolen, and a shirt taken from the room was found lying on the adjacent roadway. The vestry of St Andrew's Church was recently broken into and the Golf Club House was entered on the same night. The police are investigating the occurrences.
