PERSONAL

Mr L. F. W. Holdsworth, postmaster, is at present acting as relieving postmaster at Matamata. During his absence from Taupo, Mr N. W. Boyle is acting as postmaster at the local Post Office. Dr. and Mrs. J. S. Armstrong left for® Wellington on Wednesday last en route to Lyttelton, where they were to join the Empire Star, which was due to sail for England later in the week. They expect to be away for about six months. During the absence of Mr. F. Bostoek on annual holiday Mr. A. F. Stewart, of the Te Puke branch of the Bank of Australasia, will be relieving manager of the bank's Taupo branch.
