Municipal Power

Mr J. M. Sherwood, Electrical Inspector, reported to the Council meeting of December 21 that 47 new consumers had been connected, making the total 1315. The transformer at the Paora Hape Street substation had ^ been replaced with a larger one to meet the increasing load. On four occasions power was cut off from 4 a.m. till approximately 6 a.m. to allow alterations and maintenance work on the high tension lines.
