CHRISTMAS GATHERING
An informal Christmas gathering was held at the County Office on Friday, December 23. During the afternoon, the. County Commissioner, Mr A. H. O'Keefe and Mrs O'Keefe, welcomed about 50 guests, among whom were included representatives of Government Departments and the Taupo business community. At the conclusion of a successful and enjoyable function the Mayor of Taupo, Mr J. E. Story, thanked the Commissioner for his hospitality and referred to the splendid spirit of cooperation which existed between the Borough and County organisations. Mr I. D. Cameron, Chairman of the Taupo County Ratepayers Association, expressed the thanks of ratepayers for the good work accomplishe'd by the Commissioner and his staff during the year.
