Ambulance Trips The Taupo St John Ambulance Brigade's ambulance made nine trips in December, carrying eight medical cases and one accident case to Hospital, involving 36 hours of duty, and 866 miles of travelling. Power For Hatepe Under date December 15, Mr A. V. Kemball, Secretary, Hatepe Power Committee, forwarded to the Town Clerk a list of the names of sixtytwo subsoribers, together with their signed guarantees, in connection with the supply of power to Hatepe. Power is to be reticulated against an annual guarantee of £807 10s Od. Ambulance Exams The following candidates were successful in the St John Ambulance Brigade Home Nursing Examinations held in December: — Sheila Sommerville, Elizabeth Lafferty, Kathleen Howie, Alice McColl. Ambulance personel successful in the same examination were Clarence Stevens, Edwin Rimmer. Cadets who were successful in the senior paper were Marie Taylor, Keitha Beale, Alan Reading. The lecturer was Mrs Z. Ford, and the examiner was Sister Jeffries. Taupo Blood Donors There were twentythree blood donors when the Blood Bank Unit from Rotorua Hospital visited Taupo on December 20. Of these, nine were new donors, constituting a good response to the appeal made by the Committee through the Taupo Times. Still more donors are required, however, to bring the number up to seventyseven, the quota allotted to Taupo. Those willing to render this service should telephone Mrs J. E. Booth, No, 107D.
