SIGHT-SEEING SERVICE FOR VISITORS
A sight-seeing motor-coacli trip which .should prove popular with many visitors to Taupo has been planned by the Iliawkes Bay Motor Company. Gomniencing on December 26 the coach will depart from the Cornpany's Garage, Tongariro Street, daily at 9 a..m., having first picked up passengers at the several hotels.
It will first visit the Wharf and Waikato Outlet, where points of interest in connection with the Lake and mountains will be described, after which the O-ontrol Gates Dani will be visited and passengers given a brief resuine of the Waikato River's h y (1 ro - e 1 e c t r i c d e v el op ra en t . The next stop will be at the Huka Falls, where the parties will be taken lacross the swing-bridge to view the Falls at close quarters, after which the coach will proceed to the viewpoint overlooking the Falls from the loop road. Thence the parties will proceed to the triangle junction of the Atiamuri and Rotorua highways at Wairakei, where the Geo-thermal Project: steam bores will be viewed, following which the Wairakei Geysei Valley trip will be dorie. Rejoining the coach after this trip the Aratiatia ltapids will be visited. the eoiach then returning to Taupo by 12.30 p.m. The service thus to be offered to visitors should ti!] what has for some timo been felt loeally to be a g;i]> in the tourist anienities of thej disl i'icl. It is intended vbat the ser- ! vice should continue through the holiday period.
