LADIES GOLF NOTES
Thursday last was the ladies' closing day at the Taupo golf course, the occasion being marked by the playing of a stableford bogey. This was won by Mrs K. E. Young, with 34 points, Mrs Fearn being second with 33. Following the game, afternoon tea was served, and Miss J. Branson, ladies' captain, welcomed visitors and made a short report on the year's activities. A happy incident was the presentation by the vice-captain, Mrs Hullten, of a box of roses to Miss Branson, and a beautiful bouquet of sweet peas to Miss R. McKelvie, ladies' secretary.
