At ihe Taupo golf eourse on Saturday, October 8, C. W. Foote and E. M. Sinitli reaehed the linal of the club i ha mpionship, defeating K. Rarneka and II. Fearn, respectively. Fearn's 81 was a good effort. Championshfp finals have been deI layed till October 29. A fourball bogey match played on Saturday, October 15, resulted in a win for A. Graham and L. Holdsworth, 5 up, from D. Logan and G. Sutherland, and J. Thomas and F. Sherning, also 5 up. Playing the final ! of the fourball knockout at the same | time, Logan and Sutherland proved too strong for K. Rameka and J. Hurrell, winning 3 and 2. In the two-life match-play singles, E. Smith and F. D. Stretton, the section winners, will contest the final. N. Kerr, who has played well throughout this competition to reach both finals, lost to Smith and Stretton in close matches. Semi-finals of the Junior Championship and the final of the C grade championship have now been played. i In the C grade the finalists, A. Dance I and R. Bjorngaard, have been reduced in handicap to 20 and 22 respectively since the qualifying round j was played.
