LABOUR PARTY SOCIAL

At a recent meeting Ihe Taupo Branch, N.Z. Labour Party, decided to inaugurate an annual social and dance, the first such gathering to b© held in the War Memorial Hall tomorrow evening, October 15. The Mangakino Branch is provid-^ ing a full pipe band and entertainers. Among those offering their services are Mr Frank Gallie, as M.C., who was adjudged the Southern Hemisphere's best banjo player in Sydney in 1945, and Miss S. Sherman, winner of rriany Highland Dancing competitions. The Borough Council has granted permission for the pipe band to parade and play in Tongariro Street prior to the start of the function.
