The Commissioner explawH that ahout £4500 had been speut road maintenance and hnprovemes&ji since June, ancl he proposed to spe^ £ between £6000 and £7000 on before Christmas. Some of the principal iterns bv the proposed work were: IMrtHS improvements to the Olcl Napier Bo|||| Acacia Bay Road and WaitetoW roads ; grading and surfacing of ing and beacli access roads to aktm for the forthcoming lioliday V and about £4000 for strengthening mm farm roads in the Maraetai and kani land settlement blocks.
