GOLF CLUB'S ANNUAL BALL

The Taupo Golf Club's annual ball, held in the War Memorial Hall on Saturday evening, September 16, was well attended and was a typically successful and enjoyable adcTition to the Club's list of such events. The floral arrangements on the stage, featuring spring flowers and done by Mrs I. B. Logan and Miss Tomkies, were most attractive, and included flowers kindly donated by Mr W. King and Mrs L. Stephenson. The buffet supper was not the least' of the evening's attractions, with a varied and plentiful supply of good things. Mr Garth Marsland was in charge of the kitchen and service, and music was supplied by Bill Dolman's orchestra. Among those present were : ' Mrs J. E. Story, who wore white tulle, embossed with black . polka dots, with black bolero; Mrs L. Stephenson, mushroom pink lace wo.rn with spray of spring flowers ; Mrs J.
