CONTINUOUS TELEPHONE SERVICE
. Telephone subscribers who wish to have Taupo's telephone service extended to provide continuous service, in line with other towns of similar size, should lose no time in adyising the Postmaster to that effect. A 24hour service will not be provided unless the requisite number of subscrib-' ers desire it. The lack of such a service in Taupo is no credit to the town. It would A .'4 indeed be curious if Taupo failed to secure a continuous service because its people did not bother to make their wishes known to the Post and Telegraph Department. Taupo people often claim, and with Justification that the Government tends to neglect 'Taupo's claims. In the matter of a modern telephone service the only neglect is that of those subscribers who may have failed to reply to the . Department's enquiry. We urge Taupo Times readers who have not already done so to reply at once to the enquiry sent them by the Postmaster as to their wishes in re- ' gard to the telephone service.
