One Trout, One Helping

A letter received in Ta -uo from a Gisborne fisherman, who 1 as fished in Taupo waters for many years and who is at present on a visit to Britain, states that he has recentlv tasted both trout and salmon there. A helping a trout consisted of a whole fish. head and tail included. It was easily accommodated on his plate. The salmon retailed at 10s per pound- He eonsidered Taupo trout superior to both.
