PINE FOREST TRESPASS COSTS £6/6/-

In tlie Magistrate's Court on Friday, May 27, before Mr W. A. Iiarlow, S.M., Laurence Kilmister, of Karori, Wellington, was eharged with entering the pine forest of Pine Forests Pty., Ltd., at Rotokawa without a permit. Defendant did not appear. Mr Eric Roe, for the informant, Mr V. T. Fail, manager of Pine Forests Pty., Ltd., stated that trespassers hunting in the plantations were a cause of danger hotli to the forests and to forest workers. Notice had been given that trespassers would be prosecuted under the Forest and Rural Fire Regulations. Defendant was convicted and flned £2, with costs £1, witness' expenses £1 4s, and solicitor's fee £2 2s.
