HATEPE NOTES
Summer Fishing Ends There were very few anglers to see the summer fishing season end at Hatepe, due no doubt to the inclement weather prevailing for some time. The river was in flood more than once during May, and the mouth was affected jsomewhat, scrub that collected near the rip having yet to be removed. A nice hen fish of 91b lOoz was taken at the mouth recently by Mr Roy Thomas, a keen Taihape angler. Electric Pawer The local electricity committee has sent circulars to all resicfents of the • Hatepe settlement, and replies are awaited so that matters connected with the power projeet can be expedited. Personal Mr W. Perry, the chairman of the local committee, has been in bad health lately. His Hatepe friends wish him * speedy recovery.
