BASKETBALL NOTES
The election of officers of the Taupo Basketball Association for the 1955 season resulted as follows: — Patron, Miss K. O. Lewis; president, Mrs N. Bates (Mokai) ; vicepresidents, Mesdames J. E. Story, J. W. Birnie, B. Harnett, K. Reid, G. M. Fearnley, S. Andrews, Waihape, Miss E. Rickit, Messrs Foote, W. Kilmister, G. A. Acres; honorary secretary, Mrs F. Reid; honorary treasurer; Miss M. Jones; executive, one representative from each affiiliated club, the president, secretary, treasurer and Mrs R. Sinclair, Misses A. Asher and S. George. Nine teams have entered the competition as follows: — Huka, Taupo High School, Spa, Waipahihi, Stuarts, College Old Girls, Mokai, Tokaanu Women and Tokaanu High School. The draw for tomorrow, Saturday, May 21, is: — At Taupo, Huka v. Waipahihi, 1 p.m., referee, J. Habib; Mokai v. Stuarts, 1.45 p.m., referee, *S. George; Spa v. C.O.G., 2.30 p.m., referee, M. Jones. At Tokaanu, Taupo High School v. Tokaanu High School, 1 p.m.; Tokaanu^ Women, a bye.
