Sawdust on Streets

The matter of sawdust being placed by property-owners on the streets, to fill hollows or gullies adjacent to their properties, was before the Council recently. Itv was pointed out that this could not be allowed, that it could affect natural drainage of stormwater, and that its removal later would be expensive. It was decided to advise all mills that no sawdust was to be dumped on roadsides or on domains.
