NOTICE is hereby given that at a special meeting of the Taupo Borough Council held on Wednesday, 20th day of April, 1955, the following resolution was passed, viz : — That the Taupo Borough Council, pursuant to the provisions of the Local Bodies Loans Act. 1926, and ■ Amendments and in pursuance of the i sanction of the Local Government . Loans Board grantecl on the 30th day ; of March, 1955, and in pursuance of all other Acts, Powers and Authorities enabling it in that behalf, doth hereby resolve by way of Special Order as follows : — 1 That a loan of Ten Thousand Pounds be raised in New Zealand by the Taupo Borough Council for the purpose of sealing roads in the Borough and purchase of Plant. 2 That the rate of Interest on the said loan or any part thereof shall be at. the rate of Four Pounds (£4 ) per centum per annum. 3 That the term of the said loan or any part thereof shall be fifteen (15) years. 4 That the security for. Interest and Principal and repavment of the said loan shall be a special rate of one half penny (ld) in the £ on the rateable value (on the basis of the Unimproved Value) of all rateable property within the Borough of Taupo. And public notice is hereby given that a poll of ratepayers is required to be taken on the proposal to raise the loan herein before referred to in accordance with Section 3 of the Local Bodies Loans Amendment Act, 1951, if five (5%) per cent of the ratepayers of the Borough so demand by writing under their hands delivered or sent by post to the Town Clerk, Borough Council Office, Story • Lane, Taupo, before the date fixed ? for the confirmation of the resolution ' to raise the said loan. ; And notice is hereby given that { the resolution is to be submitted for : confirmation at an ordinary meeting of the Taupo Borough Council to be held in the Council Chambers.
