BRITISH AND FOREIGN BIBLE SOCIETY
The travelling Secretary of the British and Foreign Bible Society for the Bay of Plenty area, Miss Clark, is to be the guest speaker at the cvening service at St Paul's Presbyterian Church on Sunday next. The story of the Society since its foundation over 150 years ago is not only interesting, but dramatic and thrilling. From small beginnings the Society has grown until to-day it prints millions of copies of the Bible, in a thousand languages. Visitors and residents are invited to hear Miss Clark, who is a gifted speaker. As advertised elsewhere the Taupo branch of the Society is to hold its annual meeting in St. Paul's Church on Monday next, at 2.30 p.m. Taupo's interest in the Society is indicated by the fact that donations to it made locally last year totalled nearly one hundred pounds.
