Mr Ronald Douglas
After a long illness, the death occurred at his residerice, "Glenogle", Poukawa, Hawkes Bay, on March 13, of Mr Ronald Sholto Douglas, a member of a well-known Hawkes Bay farming family. ,Mr Douglas had many friends in Taupo, and at one time owned the launch Lady Pat, which he used for fishing holidays on the Lake. Born at Hastings, he was the youngest son of Mrs K. C. White, Havelock North, and the late Mr W. J. Douglas. Mr Ronald Douglas received his education at Hereworth School, Havelock North, and at Christ College, Christchurch. On leaving college he took up farming on his own account at Poukawa. He was .a member of the Hawkes Bay Jockey Club., the Hastings Club and the County Club. He is survived by his widow.
