TAUPO LEGION OF FRONTIERSMEN
The Taupo troop of the Legion of Frontiersmen, No. 2 Troop of B Company, Rotorua, met on Wednesday, March 9, for the annual election of officers, which resulted as follows: O.C., Lt. A. J. Buckleigh; Sgt. C. Thomas; Cpl. D'A. E. Reid; Cpl. M. Habib. The Legion in Taupo is now 15 members strong including, in addition to the officers mentioned, F/M. D. P. Warbrick (retiring O.C.); N. Ogden; W. Marett; I. T. Logan; G. M. Crickett; M. P. Tierney; B. R. Williamson; J. Miles; D. E. Fraser; F. Mahanga; C. D. Holmes. The Troop is now practically fully j equipped and is considered to be the best turned-out Troop in the N.Z. Division. The expense of equipment, which is heavy, is borne by the men themselves. During the year the Troop has assisted at many functions, and hopes to -be able to . fulfil any obligations falling within its sphere of activities.
