RETURNS OF LAND EVERY person and company, whether or not a taxpayer, being the owner of land in New Zealand within the meaning of the Land and Income Tax Act, 1954, and Regulation thereunder, is hereby required to furnish on or before April 7, 1955, in the prescribed form, a return of - such land as at 12 noon on 31st March, 1955, where the total unimproved value, as assessed under the Valuation of Land Act, 1951 exceeds £3000. Returns are to be addressed to the District Commissioner of Taxes of the District Office of the Taxes Division of the Inland Revenue Department where the taxpayer's records are filed. Any person failing to furnish a return at the prescribed time is liable to a penalty up to £100. TAUPO BOROUGH COUNCIL. TRANSPORT REGULATIONS, 1949. PROPOSAL TO CLOSE TAUPONATIONAL PARK HIGHWAY TO VEHICULAR TRAFFIC. Pursuant to the Transport Regulations 1949, notice is hereby given tha't the Taupo Borough Council for the purpose of enabling' the Taupo JV^otor Boat and Aquatic. Sports Club td hold a Speed Boat Regatta on Lake Taupo, proposes subjecf to the approval of the Minister of Transport, to close the Taupo - National Park Highway adjacent to Lake Taupo to ordinary vehicular traffic for the period indicated hereunder. During the proposed period of closure, vehicular traffic which would otherwise use the highway will be diverted from Tongariro Street on to Roberts Street, access to the Taupo - National Park Highway could then be obtained via Titiraupenga Street. Any person objecting to the proposal is called upon to lodge notice of his objection and grounds thereof, in writing, before the 6th day of April, 1955, at the Office of the Taupo Borough Council, v Wharf Road, Taupo. Road proposed to be closed to ordinary vehicular traffic, TaupoNational Park Highway, hetween Tongariro and Titiraupenga Sjtreets.
